More Projects and Works in Progress

Christams Tree OrnamentsFunky Sock

Kid's SweaterAlpaca Silk Scarf

These projects are all from my handspun. The white wool used in the "funky" socks is from my new sheep breed, the Clun Forest. The grey in the heel and toe is from a naturally colored Corriedale ewe and the pink is Koolaid black cherry. The red in the Christmas tree ornament socks is from a commerical dye and the brown in the sweater is from walnuts that fell off a neighbor's tree.

Works in Progress:

First attempts at Rainbow Dyeing with Koolaid flavors that I had on hand. The key for me was putting a towel on the bottom of the big bowl I used to prevent running and then I zapped in the microwave. I think I will make some socks. I did a sample swatch and got a little mud but it's not too unpleasant to the eye.
